“Life is long enough, and a sufficiently generous amount of time has been given to us for the highest achievements, if it were all well invested. ” – Seneca
Now, you might ask yourself: WHO the heck is Seneca?
Seneca was one of the greatest Roman philosophers of all time. Well-known for his stoic letters and essays. Phenomenal writer.
Anyway, let’s get to the point.
Seneca’s main idea is that life is LONG ENOUGH, only if you know how to use it.
Most of us can accomplish great things. No, in fact ALL of us can accomplish great things.
The only problem?
THE USAGE OF OUR TIME.
As soon as it comes to squandering time, people are most wasteful of the one thing in which they should be stingy!
Time is the most valuable resource on this planet.
However, people don’t treat it that way.
They mindlessly spend it on drinking and lust. On drugs and sex. On other people’s life events and activities. On social media. On TV shows. This goes on. It’s endless.
I’ll finish this post with the following quote. Read it. Say it out loudly for yourself. Print it out. Do whatever it takes to absorb this.
“Believe me, it is the sign of a great men, and one who is above human error, not to allow his time to be frittered away: he has the longest possible life simply because whatever time was available he devoted ENTIRELY TO HIMSELF.”
